Yes, you can switch from the half marathon to the 5K or The Course Pairing if there is still capacity. Log into your MyEvents.ACTIVE.com account, find your race entry, and click the “Change category” button to update to your registration. The deadline to make online edits to your registration is June 10, 2022.
Late Category transfers: If you miss the June 10, 2022 deadline to make a change to your race category, you can email registration@motivsports.com to make the switch no later than July 10, 2022. Changes requested after July 10th will need to be made at the Race Expo.
Race Extras can be selected during registration. If you did not purchase at the time of registration, log into your MyEvents.ACTIVE.com account, find your race entry, and click the “Purchase merchandise” button to add Race Extras to your registration.
You may defer your entry to the 2023 event. Deferrals must be processed by the registration team and an administration fee of 50% of the 2023 registration fee will be charged. You will pay this fee when you register for the 2023 race. The deferral will expire after the 2023 event and you will not be able to defer your registration again. Deferrals must be requested by emailing napatosonomawinecountryhalf@motivsports.com prior to July 3, 2022.
You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. However, bib transfers are allowed for an administrative fee of $25 and must be processed through your ACTIVE MyEvents portal no later than July 8, 2022. If you transfer your bib, you will receive a refund (minus the $25 administrative fee) once the new registrant signs up. The new registrant will pay the full cost of the entry fee at the time of purchase.

This race, in accordance with management executives, city officials and local law enforcement has the authority to cancel any of the events for emergency purposes such as, but not limited to, inclement weather, a pandemic, or threat of terrorism. If such emergency conditions force cancellation, refunds cannot be provided.

We do understand that sometimes you just can’t make the race. If the race is scheduled, and you are unable to attend, we have created a great policy that offers you different options for your registration. (You may choose only one of the options below.)

Race Insurance: By clicking selection this option at the end of your registration form, you are adding an additional ACTIVE Refund fee to your total cart amount, and you are agreeing to the Terms & Conditions for ACTIVE Refund. Refund requests must be submitted 48 hours prior to your activity date, and activities that are cancelled, postponed, or changed from a live activity to a “virtual” or online format are not eligible for a refund. The fee to purchase ACTIVE Refund is generally non-refundable, and can not be added at a later date.

Strollers are not permitted on the half marathon course. Strollers are permitted on the 5K course but you will only be allowed to start in the back of the pack after the rest of the runners.
Race day packet pick-up on Sunday, July 17, 2022 for the Half Marathon is available for $25. Participants can purchase this option by visiting their ACTIVE MyEvents account and clicking “Purchase merchandise” and selecting “Race Day Packet Pick-Up”.
Participants in the 5K or The Course Pairing do not need to purchase race day packet pick-up as they will be able to pick up their bib on Saturday, July 16th before the 5K begins.
If you are unable to attend the Race Expo, you may send a proxy to pick up your race packet on your behalf.
You must have signed the digital waiver when registering for the event for a proxy to pick up on your behalf. To verify if you’ve signed your waivers, please visit your ACTIVE MyEvents account and locate your Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon entry. If you have not signed your waiver yet, you will see a large red error message that your waivers have not yet been signed.
Please send your proxy with a copy of driver’s license (digital picture is OK) and your confirmation email to expedite the pick-up process. Confirmation emails are sent the day before the Race Expo. Proxies may only pick-up packets for up to 3 people.
Due to road closure constraints, the Napa to Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon course is not compatible with wheelchair or handcycle participants.
Any participant must be 13 years old* on race day to participate in the half marathon. There is no age restriction to participate in the 5K.
*Only half marathon participants over the age of 21 will be given a wine glass to participate in the post-race wine festival although all ages are welcome in Sonoma Plaza after the race.

All participants are required to pick up their race packet (including their race bib) prior to race day at one of the packet pick-ups listed below. Participants must bring their ID and their confirmation email to expedite the pick-up process. Confirmation emails will be emailed to participants the week of the race before the Expo opens.
