The Rosé 5K will be held on Saturday, July 20th in beautiful, Sonoma, CA. 

Starting and finishing in historic, Sonoma Plaza, participants will enjoy the best of the heart of the Sonoma Valley. Run the Rosé 5K before enjoying the rest of the day in wine country!

Participants participating in “The Pairing” can also pick up their half marathon bib after the Rosé 5K.

The Rosé 5K course features the best of Sonoma, CA as runners enjoy the small town charm that makes Sonoma special! Starting and finishing in Sonoma Plaza, participants will enjoy the sights and sounds of historic Downtown Sonoma, the heart of the Sonoma Valley.

Keep your eyes peeled as you pass the Sonoma State Historic Park which includes Mission San Francisco Solano and Sonoma Barracks.

Runners will pass through Sonoma’s idyllic neighborhoods on their way to scenic landscape views of local vineyards before making their back to Sonoma Plaza.

The start and finish of the Rosé 5K is in Sonoma Plaza. Street parking is available in the local neighborhood surrounding Sonoma Plaza and multiple lots will be open for overflow parking.  Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis so we recommend arriving early to secure your spot.

Overflow parking is available at:

  • Sonoma State Historic Park (335 1st St E, Sonoma, CA)
  • Depot Park Lot (180 1st St W, Sonoma, CA)

WATER STATION
An aid station with water will be available to all runners at the turnaround of the 5K course.  This is near the mid-point of the race.

ROSE TASTING STATION
For 2023
: A station with Bubble Butt Rosé Seltzer will be located just before the Mile 1 marker.  Participants aged 21 years and older can partake in a mid-race tasting of rose.  Keep an eye out for the rose tasting signs to make the most of your Rosé 5K experience!  

 

After completing their race, all Rosé 5K participants are welcome to join us in our post-race Rosé Garden. After the race, a complimentary rosé tasting for each 5K participant that is 21 years or older will be available.  Participants can pick up their rosé tasting glass in the Expo area and head to the Rosé Garden to enjoy the festivities.

Enjoy the camaraderie with your fellow runners, snap some photos, and enjoy some delicious rosé as you celebrate your race finish!

Gear check is not offered during the Rosé 5K.  Please plan accordingly and leave any items in your vehicles.  Participants shirts will be available after you complete your race so you will not need to store this while participating.

The Rosé 5K has a course time limit of 1.5 hours. Participants will need to maintain a pace of 30 minutes per mile in order to complete the race. Due to the nature of the course, if a participant falls behind the established pace time, they may be asked to join the sweep vehicle to be moved ahead on course.

The top 3 male and female finishers in the 5K will receive an overall award.

The top male and female finishers in each age group in the 5K will receive an award.  Please see the age groups below:
20 & Under, 21-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

Awards must be picked up on-site from the Age Group Awards table in Expo area of Sonoma Plaza.  Awards will not be mailed post-race.
